Rakhi Tutorial -2

How to Make a Rakhi?

Before starting you may check out a few tips here.

Material required:

  • Colorful threads
  • Card stock
  • Decorative pearl stones
  • Drop shaped stone
  • Glitter Glue
  • Glue
  • Scissors

1. Take 3-4 strands of the thread depending on the thickness of your thread. You don’t want it to be too thin, some thickness would give the rakhi a good look. I have used red and yellow colors.Rakhi1

2. Cut out a drop shape from your card stock, to make it thick cut two shapes and glue them together. This drop  shape should be bigger than your drop shaped stone.Rakhi2

3. Stick the drop shaped stone in centre of the drop shape card stock and let it dry for sometime.

4. Make an outline around the drop shape stone with glitter glue and fill up the space. I used red drop stone and gold glitter glue around it. You may try other colors of your choice.
